	YCC Spring Fling York will be hosting our annual Member/Guest on March 20^th. This year we have decided to combine this event with a fundraising evening for the Club. We will have live entertainment, wine tasting, live auction with great items and great food supplied by Boston Pizza! Check out the flyer for further information. Tickets and sign up can be found at the bar. Cost is just $15.00.

2010/2011 Membership at York Curling Club

With the expansion of our curling club this coming summer, we will now have capacity to welcome new members to our club. If you would like to receive a 2010/2011 membership notification next summer, please send a note to our membership committee and we will email you a registration package. New or experienced curlers welcome.

MEMBERS APPROVE CLUB EXPANSION

At the Special Member's Meeting held on Sunday, November 22, 2009, attending members voted unanimously to add 2 additional sheets of ice, replace our ice plant and replace the existing ice pad for sheets 1-4.

Recorded votes at the meeting were 98 in favor and 0 opposed. There were 109 proxies submitted with 97 in favor of the full expansion and restoration, 9 votes in favor of the ice plant and expansion only with 3 votes cast against expansion.

Your Board wishes to thank the membership for both the strong participation and interest in this initiative as well as the endorsement for the project to move ahead. Progress reports will be posted to the website as significant developments occur.

As always, many of the same people volunteer frequently at York Curling Club. We are looking for new faces and talents!!

There are many different opportunities available and we would love to have you come out. From special events to various committees, there’s always someone needed.

Practice Ice
Practice ice is available at York on most Sunday evenings in the 8:30 time slot. If you are interested in booking a practice please contact Club Manager JoAnn Inouye to reserve a sheet, this process will avoid any conflicts and ensure the ice is available for members. Thank you.
